A Note to Citizens:
The Events team's games often come with prizes, most notably the mysterious "coppers" that can be exchanged for house decorations and other "unusual items" from the Swap N Shop in West Leinster or the Flower Shop in Usk.
The Storyline, on the other hand, does not offer prizes and the main benefit for followers of the story is that they learn about the magical world around them.

Other Citizens
Shrew: A small creature with the ability to talk. Some regard him as the gift of Mabon or as the familiar of Milo. He is often found in Mabon's temple.
Jasalva: The resident witch of the realm, she often visits with followers at her house.
Augur: The Great Knowledge, an elemental that knows everything, he appears anywhere in the realm. He will only answer one question per appearance.
Ansuz: Gift of all faiths. She was originally the adult form of Zuzu. Recently the personality of Zuzu surfaced and in the end Zuzu and Ansuz were separated with the help of the followers. She is often found at the Smiting Memorial.
Daemiath: Once a soulless assassin created by Astra. He was given a soul by Elphame as punishment for his crimes. He now serves her temple.
Peredur: An oddly mannered young wizard, and a resident of Mabon’s temple. He seems to be overly protective of Milo whilst Shrew is away.
The Mists
From The Mists come creatures who worship the ancient godsand wish to dethrone the current gods and take over The Realm.
The Shrouded One: Little is known about this creature. It is known he and a group of other demigods were behind the recent invasion by the Minotaur.
**Note** Not all Characters from the story are listed here, but players are reminded to check a potential character's bio. If it has a blue staff banner, it is an Official Storyline Character. Characters can and will be added or removed from the Realm Storyline as the story progresses. Although active participation and role-playing within the storyline are encouraged, any attempt to imitate an Official Character is a breach of the Code of Conduct; Storyline characters are counted as Staff.
The rise of the Necromancers, according to some, was cause for great strife among the gods. Necromancy, it was said, was an affront to Elphame, robbing her of her right to judge the dead. According to this view, Mabon, the source of all magic's in the lands, was able to overcome Elphames' displeasure and permit necromancy, which clearly continues to exist, to remain vital magic circle. Others contend that only Elphame herself possesses the power necessary to create necromancy and it was she who, by force or wile, caused Mabon to release the magic into the lands. Adherents to this belief view the use of necromancy as one of the highest forms of tribute a mortal may make to the goddess.

Poison:
Poison damage will last between 3 and 5 combat rounds. This counter is reset every time you are hit with a poison attack.
Each poison attack will accumulate on your character. You will notice a message in the chat box that tells you how many poison points you have gained on each attack. These points are applied once every combat round. You will take between one and the number of poison points that your character has every combat round.
Only a percentage of a poison-enhanced attack will cause direct damage. The rest is placed in the poison counter.

For example, if Enchant Item is cast on a sword, followed by 'resist fire', the wielder of the sword will be protected from fire attacks. Only affects equipable items. Note that this spell may fail or even destroy an item if too many enchantments already exist on target item. Items that have multiple enchantments are more fragile than those that have no enchantments. For each enchantment on a weapon or piece of armor the amount of damage that it will take from being hit is increased by 5 percent. This means that your 5 banger wraths will deteriorate faster than other non-enchanted items.

Mysticism Spells:
You can only be affected by one mind control spell at a time.
The duration of mind control spells is based solely on the mysticism skill of the caster. The system no longer compares the intelligence of the caster vs. the target with these spells.
Once a mind control spell is cast, the target receives mysticism immunity for some number of combat rounds. The number of immunity rounds is based on the number of rounds that the target is controlled and the nature of the spell. You will see a "Myst Immunity" indicator over the target's head. That indicator tells you how many rounds of immunity remain on that target. Any mind control spells cast on the target while immunity is in effect will fail.
If a mind control spell is dispelled, the target's immunity count will be halved.
The Amulet of Free Will has modified properties. Look at the description of your amulet to see the changes.
Direct-target mind control spells (i.e. hold monster, stun) have had their speed increased. This does not apply to mass spells.
All mind control spell durations are based on the SDM of the caster. The higher your SDM, the higher the duration of the mind control spell. Conversely, the lower your SDM (poor giants) the lower the duration of the mind control spell.
Mass mind control spells have been given more random durations to even out their massive power.
